By Mélodie Gratton, ADM(PA) –
From November 5 to 11 every year, Canadians honour all service members past and present.
Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members are encouraged to share their story with local schools and community organizations as part of the 2018 National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program.
This is an opportunity for CAF members to remind Canadians of the sacrifices made every day, ensuring that Canada is among the safest and most secure countries in the world.
The theme of this year’s program is “Road to Peace” and will commemorate the Battle of the Atlantic, the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, the 65th Anniversary of Korea, and the 10th Anniversary of National Peacekeeping Day.
As a speaker, you will share your story of service with Canadians of all ages. Last year, CAF members gave more than 2,100 presentations, reaching more than 530,000 Canadians during Veterans’ Week.
If you are interested in participating, please register electronically by completing a registration form located on the Defence Team’s Veterans’ Week web page.
For more information, please contact the program coordinator.
