In support of the 2018 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC), the Canadian Forces Language School (CFLS) held another successful fashion show showcasing and sharing the rich cultural diversity of the School.
The fashion show featured participants from more countries than ever before, including Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Croatia, Iran, Sudan, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Romania, Algeria, Morocco, Vietnam, China and Canada.
Our fabulous models were CFLS teachers and students from the French program, the Foreign Languages program, the Language Teacher Training Course and the administration staff. One unforgettable participant was the Commanding Officer of Canadian Forces Language School, Lieutenant-Colonel Loïc Roy, who was a highlight of the show with his modeling talent, sense of humour and unique performance.
The models proudly walked on the red carpet with eye-catching traditional costumes, while also dancing to the sound of beautiful folkloric melodies in front of a large audience.
The NDWCC is part of the broader Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign. The NDWCC includes many more events like the Fashion Show, from bake sales to silent auctions, and provides National Defence employees with an opportunity to donate to a variety of charitable causes.
