Building Access Control

Members of the Defence Team in the National Capital Region (NCR) now have easier access to the Defence facilities across the region.

Effective April 1, 2018, the following pass control changes have been implemented:

  • All Department of National Defence employees and Canadian Armed Forces members in the National Capital Region have been given 15/5 (15 hours a day/5 days a week) access to all NCR buildings.
  • All General and Flag Officers (GOFO)/Executives currently have 24/7 access to Startop, 455 de la Carriere, 101 Colonel By, and NDHQ (Carling). They also currently have 15/5 access to all NCR buildings and will have 24/7 access to all buildings in the NCR by June 1.

Visitors to NDHQ (Carling) can now access the facility using any of the guardhouses or access control points as shown on the NDHQ (Carling) map.
