Collaboration between ADM(Mat) and CADSI –
Over the past 20 years, CANSEC has grown to become the largest Canadian defence and security industry event showcasing leading-edge technologies, products, and services for land based, naval and aerospace and joint forces domains. CANSEC welcomes over 300 exhibitors and close to 11,500 delegates who come to see the best of what the Canadian defence and security industries have to offer.
This year’s CANSEC, taking place 29-30 May at the EY Centre in Ottawa, will also see the launch of the Innovation Hub. The defence industry is known for pushing the frontiers of innovation and leading the way in R&D intensity – a well established ratio that gauges the level of investments in R&D used to spur innovation. The Innovation Hub aims to continue this trend of innovation by featuring new exhibitors with cutting-edge and disruptive technologies from sectors such as cyber defence, robotics, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, training simulation, advanced infrastructure and manufacturing and more.
According to the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) – organizers of CANSEC, the goal of CANSEC is to provide a forum for companies contributing to the defence and sovereignty of Canadians to display their innovative products and services to government and military representatives. Major industry announcements are regularly made at CANSEC to take advantage of the dedicated media attention and the presence of Canadian Members of Parliament, Senators, Cabinet Ministers, other top government and military officials, as well as many international delegations that attend every year.

- Use the pre-badging sessions offered by CADSI. One of the services offered to government employees and military members is the opportunity to get your badge early. Pre-badging sessions are offered from 20-28 May 2019 at any of the following six DND buildings in Ottawa and Gatineau: 455 de la Carriere, NDHQ(Carling), Richelieu Bldg, NPB, NDHQ(Pearkes), and 400 Cumberland. Once you have your badge, you will have a direct access to the trade show floor. The pre-badging schedule is available here.
