Join Canadian Forces Chief Warrant Officer (CFCWO) Kevin West on the green on May 25 for his 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, benefitting the Military Family Resource Centre of the National Capital Region (MFRC-NCR). This annual fundraiser offers an amazing golf and networking experience while supporting a great cause. Join CFCWO Kevin West’s challenge to all units, branches and participating golf teams to register and support the programs and services offered to local military families.
This year, Invictus Athletes Jean-Claude Migneault, Nic Meunier, Marcel ”Tony” Moreau, Daniel Graham and Tom Martineau, as well as Olympians Cody Sorensen and Geneviève Lacasse will be joining golfers on the green!
“Following the great success of the Invictus Games in Toronto last summer, the organizing committee agreed to invite members of the golfing team to be this year’s guests for the Charity Golf Tournament. We decided to give participants the chance to play with one of them by paying for their cost. A great opportunity to play and meet an Invictus Games Athlete! We’ll also have the presence of two Olympians, Cody Sorensen (bobsleigh) and Genevieve Lacasse (hockey),” indicated Chief Warrant Officer Eric Bouffard, Chief of Force Development CWO
The MFRC-NCR is an independent charity whose sole mission is to support the unique needs of military families. It relies on the funds raised from this tournament and its attendees to offer essential support such as counselling, child care, employment initiatives and much more. We invite everyone to come out, have fun and raise funds for our Canadian Armed Forces families!
The tournament will be held at the exclusive Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa. To secure your opportunity to have an Invictus Athlete play on your foursome, simply select the ”Play with an Invictus Athlete” option when processing your registration. Tickets are limited, so act fast! To register, please visit the event’s website.
