Changes coming to Blue Passport photo requests

Changes coming to Blue Passport photo requests

The National Capital Region Imaging Services – CFSU(O) will no longer be issuing passport photos for regular passports (blue passport). The passport program has determined that photos, or copies, taken for official travel by a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are no longer acceptable for regular passport applications.  As a result, Department of National Defence Imaging Services across Canada will only issue passport photos for diplomatic (red) and special (green) passport requests.

Learn more about photo specifications and entities authorized to take passport photos on the Government of Canada’s Website:  https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-passports/photos.html
