The Open Government Partnership (OGP) recently announced that the second global Open Government Week will take place 11-17 March, 2019. During this week, Canada will join countries around the world to celebrate inclusion, participation and the impact of government.
This is your chance to take action and support participation across Canada by hosting an event: public debates, town halls, webinars, hackathons, or anything else that connects people to civic life. This year, we are aiming to increase the number and diversity of partners that will join events and conversations, create opportunities to learn about Open Government and empower citizens to become involved in their governments. We invite you to add new voices in planning your events.
How to get started:
- Plan an event with your local (or digital) community for the week of 11-17 March, 2019.
- Register your event on our website.
- Promote the event within your community.
- Tell us how it went.
