Second Career Assistance Network seminar

CFSU(O)’s Professional Development Office is hosting an English Second Career Transition Network (SCAN) seminar in April.

Topics include CFSU(O) Release Administrative Services, SISIP Insurance and Financial Planning, Personnel Selection Services, Veterans Affairs Canada, Will and Estate Planning, and more.

    The Ceremonial Guard proudly presents Fortissimo, a military and musical spectacular on the lawns of Parliament Hill nightly from July 18 to 20 at 7 p.m.

    This year’s participants include the Latvian National Armed Forces Staff Orchestra, Drums and Dancers from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, the Dominion Carillonneur, The 30th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Band of the Ceremonial Guard. Other participants of the Canadian Armed Forces include a Massed Pipes & Drums Band from across the Canadian Army and the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry Ceremonial Troop. For the first time since 2016, Fortissimo will feature a special performance by the SkyHawks, the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team. Admission to the public is free.

    CMP and ADM HR-Civ are pleased to present a theatre-style public viewing of the acclaimed TVO documentary The Fruit Machine.

     

    July 30, 2019, 0900 to 1200 at NDHQ(Carling) Building 6 in front of the Cafeteria.

     

    The documentary gives voice to LGBTQ survivors of a decades-long homosexual witch-hunt, conducted by the same Canadian government they served.

    Purge survivors—along with Sarah Fodey, director and producer of the documentary—will take part in an engaging panel discussion following the viewing of the film

     

    Space is limited to 120 seats.
