Forces Fit Challenge is Back

By Michael McCarthy, PSP Ottawa –

After a festive holiday season, many among us will look to set new goals for ourselves as resolutions for the new year. Among the most popular one is a desire to improve one’s health and fitness.

With the frequent physical, mental, and emotional demands on members of the CAF community, proper fitness plays a paramount role in the success of individual CAF members and their respective units.  The benefits of fitness are well known, and well documented, and the new year is a perfect time to engage in a personal fitness challenge!

Forces Fit is an initiative that encourages serving CAF members to participate in PSP’s fitness programs throughout the NCR.  CAF personnel who participate in 15 or more PSP-led fitness programs, between 28 January and 1 March, 2019 will earn a free Forces Fit technical shirt.

Contact your regional PSP Fitness Instructor before 23 January, 2019 to register.  After each workout, the PSP Fitness Instructor who led the class will update your Forces Fit tracking card.

At the end of the challenge, participants must return their Forces Fit tracking card with the appropriate shirt size to their local PSP Fitness Instructor, no later than 8 March, 2019.

All shirts will be distributed at the Forces Fit Recognition Event.

Members are also encouraged to visit PSP’s website for more information on the challenge, refer to the PSP Fitness Programming, or email their local Fitness and Sports Instructor.
