By Spencer McBride, The Guard –
Canada Company is now in the final stages of planning its fifth annual Military Family Ski Day at Calabogie Peaks! The event welcomes all Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families to the ski resort, and will be held on Friday, 22 March, 2019.
Thanks to the generosity of former gunner Jim Hemlin, Chief Operating Officer at Calabogie Peaks, the event is open to CAF members and their families. In addition to having fun, the event serves as a fundraising initiative for Canada Company: Many Ways to Serve. CAF personnel will ski for free as long they show a military ID and members of their families will be able to ski for half-price.
Canada Company looks forward to having a fun-filled day and raise money for a many different causes; Canada Company’s programs in support of military members and their families, their scholarships, their strategic knowledge exchanges, and other programs.
Non-military members are also welcome to take part in the skiing activities at regular price, and enjoy the day with those who serve our country.
If you have any questions, please contact Paul Hindo, Canadian Army Honorary Colonel and Vice Chair, Canada Company, or the Canada Company’s VP Administration, Lieutenant-Colonel (ret’d) Marie-Claire Ouellette.
We hope to see you at the Peaks on March 22nd!
