Mark your calendars for the Defence Team Career and Networking Fair!

By the Blueprint 2020 Communications Team –

he Blueprint 2020 team invites all of the Defence Team, including civilians, serving Regular and Reserve Force members, and current and past students, to the first Defence Team Career and Networking Fair on 17 October, 2018.

The Fair will be held in Ottawa at the Diefenbaker building, at 111 Sussex Drive, as well as in numerous locations across Canada.
This event is also going to be available nationwide online through a virtual broadcast, making it easier for participants to attend via the DWAN* or their home computer or mobile device (WI-FI recommended).

The Fair will be an opportunity to discover the diversity of occupations that exist within the CAF and DND, including areas of growth and employment gaps.  This event provides an excellent occasion for those personnel facing transition, such as students and retiring CAF members, to explore the options for the next phase of their career. Participants will be able to talk directly to subject matter experts, recruiters, peers and functional and organizational leaders. A “Career Connections” networking portion will allow participants to talk directly and virtually with hiring managers and a panel will discuss “Keys to Success: Candid advice on how to succeed in your career”. Kiosks and workshops will also showcase job-related services and benefits, and provide information on the resources available to ensure professional development, health and well-being.

Registration to attend the Panel Discussion, Workshops and/or Career Connections in person will begin 25 September, 2018 and will be open until 16 October, 2018, or while space is available.  Attendance is open to all for the kiosks, however, participants are encouraged to sign up, as this will allow virtual access to the online site during the day of the event and allow you to download any relevant documentation available at the kiosks.  This will also give you access to workshops and panel discussions that will be taped and available for 30 days after the Fair.

We look forward to your participation!

*DWAN users must have Google Chrome installed in order to access the virtual broadcast.

For more details, visit our GCPedia page and go to the event website, where registration will open on 25 September, 2018. If you need additional information please contact the Blueprint Secretariat at +Blueprint 2020 – Objectif 2020.
