The PSP Ottawa Mess Management team joined forces on March 22 to launch the NDHQ (Carling) joint and combined mess annex by hosting a wine and cheese. This inaugural event saw dozens of military members gather in the common area between buildings 8 and 9 to enjoy good food and good company. High-end hors d’oeuvres and cheese plates were prepared by the RCAF Officers’ Mess chef and his team.
It was the first time all NCR mess managers hosted an event together and the result was highly successful.
“To work as a team makes all the difference with such an event. We strive to deliver quality programming to our mess members,” said Gary Lafontaine, General Manager, Messes Operations.
This new venture is shared between all messes in the NCR and all costs and proceeds are allocated accordingly. In his speech, the Commandant CFSU(O), Colonel Richard Goodyear highlighted the hard work completed by the entire team and announced that more events would be hosted at NDHQ (Carling), the next one being held on April 19. What’s Brewing will see NCR mess members come together after work to socialize, network and enjoy a variety of refreshments. For more information please visit PSP Ottawa’s website.
