PSP Summer Camp is Bringing Another Exciting Variety of Themed Weeks for Kids

By Rafael Baffini, PSP Ottawa –

Summer vacations are coming. Kids can hardly wait to enjoy family escapes and outdoor activities. For parents, this is the time to find a summer camp for their children and choosing the right one is an important decision. It is essential for parents to have peace of mind and know their kids are having fun and making new friends.

The Defence Community can rely on a premium quality summer camp offered by the PSP Recreation team. Taking place at the Uplands Military Community Centre, the PSP Summer Camp provides children with plenty of social and developmental learning opportunities in a safe and fun environment.

According to David Leblanc, PSP Community Recreation Manager, ensuring the quality of the PSP Summer Camp is his team’s top priority. “This is our signature program,” says Leblanc. “We have been working diligently throughout the year to plan diverse, engaging, and interactive activities for every day of summer camp. Children will participate in special activities, swimming, crafts, outdoor activities, and many other themed fun activities.”

Parents can expect the PSP Recreation Summer Camp staff to be Standard First Aid with
CPR-C certified, to possess a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check, and have HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development certification.

The team has chosen the following themes for this year, which will change every week: “Holidays in July”, “Superhero Week”, “Dinosaur Week”, “Shark Week”, “Rocket Camp”, “Beach Party”, “Critters & Adventures”, “Comic Con Camp”, and “Olympics Week”.
