The 2019 NDWCC is Bringing the Heat!

By Shannon Anderson, NDWCC Campaign Leader –

Have you seen the thermometres posted around NDHQ(Carling) and NDHQ(Pearkes)? The 2019 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC) is off to a great start. Within the first month, we’ve reached 10% of our goal! We have been able to achieve this amazing start due to all the fundraising promotions and events going on within the Defence Team workplace and community.

Events like the biweekly 50-50 Draws have been a huge hit, so much so that Private Daniel Rodrigues took home over $1,000 in the last draw. Make sure to purchase your tickets to get your name in on the next draw – 17 October, 2019 – and you could be the next big NDWCC 50-50 Draw Winner!

With the holiday season fast approaching, the NDWCC Craft Markets have got you covered! The Craft Markets are a wonderful opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts for the special people in your life – including yourself!

The NDWCC will be bringing to you artisans and crafters extraordinaire on the following dates:

  • 23-24 October, 2019, Main Concourse, NDHQ(Pearkes)
  • 13-14 November, 2019, NDHQ(Carling)
  • 3-4 December, 2019, Main Concourse, NDHQ(Pearkes)

Your NDWCC Team also has other promotions and events taking place all over the NCR including:

The money raised is being directed to deserving charities and organizations working to make our communities a better place, including; Soldiers Helping Soldiers, The Royal Canadian Legion, and Team Rubicon Canada. To find out more about the charities we’re supporting through the NDWCC, check out the Charity Showcase on the NDWCC site.

Your NDWCC Team will be bringing more events to you very soon, so keep checking back on our Campaign Calendar for more details!
