The Women’s Hockey 2019 Regional Champions took place last month. The women of the Ottawa Nationals battled hard and went into the third period of the final game of the championship with a score of 0-0 again the Montreal region Patriotes. Both goaltenders did their best to protect their net, but our ladies came out victorious, winning the game with a score of 2-0. MVP of the final game was goalie Sergeant Marie-Josée Blanchette and MVP of the tournament was Corporal Heather Weaver, both players from Ottawa. The ladies are off to Edmonton in March to vie for the women’s national championship title against the top teams from the Canada West, Ontario and Atlantic regions.
